How it Works
Installed on the Oracle E-Business Forms Server, the Enterprise Adapter
creates Request Sets of E-Business Suite jobs. To help prevent errors, the
adapter comes with lists of Requests and Report Sets. The adapter
automatically brings up the Oracle form used to request jobs and define
parameters, such as "To" and "From" dates for report data or account numbers
for an accounting statement. Tidal Enterprise Scheduler™ variables can be
used so that once created, the report form does not have to be accessed
repeatedly to enter new parameters if, for instance, a report needs to run
each week or each month.
Dependencies can be set; priorities and queues can be allocated and any
abnormal behavior is reported in the Tidal console for user notification and
intervention
By leveraging the Concurrent Manager, Tidal Enterprise Scheduler can
support all Oracle process types including Oracle Reports, HOST programs,
PL/SQL Stored Procedures, Java Stored Procedures, Java Concurrent Programs
and SQL*Plus. Because the familiar Oracle request form is used, reports have
the same names and syntax as they do in Oracle E-Business Suite. Users can
be up and scheduling Oracle jobs in a matter of minutes. Tidal Enterprise
Scheduler and Oracle work as one integrated solution. Non-Oracle users can
input Oracle processes and run the Oracle Concurrent Manager using the same
Enterprise Scheduler interface used across multiple environments..

The adapter provides industry-leading integration including drop-down
lists of existing Oracle E-Business Suite request data.

Security between the Enterprise Adapter and Oracle E-Business Suite
includes:

database user during job definition and submission
